Adopt-A-School
McCook Quarry is proud to partner with area schools to enhance student learning. Through in-class and on-site Adopt-a-School initiatives, McCook provides assistance, expertise and materials to dozens of local schools.
Lyons Township Quarry Advisory Council
Vulcan employees from the McCook Quarry, in partnership with the Township of Lyons and neighboring quarries, formed the award-winning Lyons Township Quarry Advisory Council to open communications with the surrounding communities. Vulcan Materials Company Foundation
The Vulcan Materials Company Foundation was established in 1988 to assist in carrying out our mission of being a good corporate citizen in the communities where we have facilities. We support and take an active part in many public and charitable projects.
Our objective is to help build stronger communities by working with schools, supporting environmental education and encouraging employee involvement. Our activities include involvement in adopt-a-school programs, funding scholarships, and establishing and maintaining certified wildlife habitats.
